I feel so frustrated and sad for kind people who are taken advantage of. That poor man. :-(
For the record, this is a great example of why I hate bigoted old people. They utterly despise everything that is new and/or unfamiliar but their whole world would fall apart if it weren’t for young people. Despite voting every year for legislation that spits in the face of society in general, they’re the first people to demand help and sympathy. They hate everyone but expect favors all the time.
Sorry if that sounded malicious, but is this not completely maddening to anyone else? Maybe it’s because I’ve worked in retail, serving the general public, but I am very familiar with how simultaneously hateful and helpless some of the nastier members of the elderly population are. As if being entitled isn’t bad enough, they’re the only people who mutter racial and sexual epithets at the people trying to help them.
