I debated for a while about posting this or not. It’s a video of myself, when I had my wisdom teeth removed in 2007. I think it’s hilarious, so I figured I’d post it (I guess it’s nearly impossible to embarrass me).
I might regret this later and delete it, so watch it while you can.
Also, I promise I don’t actually laugh like that. I was pretty much completely delusional during this. I don’t remember filming any of it.
Oh, wow. This is super cute but I also kind of feel sorry for you, so it’s kind of heartbreaking at the same time. Poor you.
Why did you get an IV? It occurs to me how much simpler it was for me to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Maybe things have changed since I was 17 (back in the late 1870’s) but I went in, got a small dose of laughing gas, got a Novocaine local and then they sliced my teeth out and I went home. The strangest part was that I was totally awake for the whole thing. The anesthetic prevented me from feeling the pain of the surgery and the gas kept me from worrying too much but I could feel, through the numbness, my teeth being pulled out after they sliced my gums open. It’s so strange to feel that and to know what they’re doing but not feel any pain.
These days, I hear they put you to sleep and, apparently, dope you to the gills. God, this looked so traumatic. You’re still adorable, though.
It just occurred to me that this is the high school equivalent of “David Goes To The Dentist”… you should be just as popular an internet meme as that drugged-up little kid who doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not. Will this be… forever?
